Q-Clear

Light Age

Dual-wavelength Q-switched Nd:YAG for nail fungus.

Q-Clear is a Q-switched Nd:YAG system that combines 1064nm and 532nm energy to treat onychomycosis in short, low-heat pulses. The very short pulse duration is intended to disrupt fungal structures with minimal thermal build-up, so most patients report little to no discomfort. It appeals to clinics that want a nail-fungus device patients describe as painless.

Technical specifications

Applications

  • Nail Fungus

Advantages

  • Low thermal load means very tolerable treatments
  • Two wavelengths in a compact chassis
  • Affordable entry point for a new service line

Considerations

  • Smaller install base and support network than major brands
  • Limited use outside nail indications

Ideal clinic profile

Clinics prioritising patient comfort and a low-cost dedicated nail laser.

Clinical notes

Because pulses are cold, expect to rely on session count rather than heat endpoint; pair with debridement for best clearance.
